This electric blanket has been keeping me warm. Tired on piling on blankets and a heating pad in the evening, I decided that I wanted a heated blanket that I could set a temperature and a timer...the latter is important as I have "old timers".
We've been having a heat wave so I had to wait until it got below 60F last week to test the blanket and yeah...nice. It's the perfect size for the sofa...or for my side of the bed.
It has a 10-speed temperature adjustment, so I can find the perfect warmth depending on how cold it is. The automatic shutdown timer is such a thoughtful touch, with settings for different hours. I can fall asleep with it on and not worry about forgetting to turn it off. The overheating protection is a big relief, the blanket will turn off if it gets too hot. I can’t wait to use it in bed once winter hits. It’s definitely going to make those freezing nights much more comfortable.
This blanket gets plenty warm and it's in use every work from home day, all 4 seasons. The office is in the basement and it gets cold in the winter, and in the summer with the AC running, it is again cold down there compared to the main level.
All the adjustments on the remote work well and the blanket is a nice size for covering up from the chest down.
We have another brand's higher end model and this one rivals it in every way, and in some ways it's better. It's certainly a more plush feeling blanket than the other one.
We might have to get a second one.
Overall a good value for the current price, and would like to see them in other colors like pink and purple.
However, the washing instructions are vague. The instructions also don't really explain the different heat settings, but "5" does get pretty warm, and it goes up to 10. The instructions do talk about the timer settings, so that's good. Overal, it is easy enough to figure out with a little trial and error.
The blanket is soft and comfortable, and it looks attractive, and it has a lot of heating power; it will be perfect for winter.
It has a decent size, not too big, it is just a throw blanket but large enough to cover me when I'm sitting on the couch or even lying down, though I wouldn't say it's big enough to share comfortably with another person unless I am really close to.
Once I plugged it in, the control was easy to figure out, even though there are quite a few settings I can adjust, from the heat level to the timer, which I could easily set depending on how long I was planning on using it. It did warm up relatively quickly, and it has an automatic shut-off feature, which is probably good for safety reasons, but it did turn off a few times when I wasn’t ready for it to, so I had to turn it back on and set it again.
The warmth is pleasant and seems to spread evenly across the blanket, though I did notice the heat is a bit more concentrated around the wiring, which is to be expected, I suppose. The blanket does what it is supposed to do, keeping me warm without being too bulky, therefore, I am pleased with this heated blanket.
I also appreciate that it has ETL certification which adds an extra layer of assurance regarding its safety and quality.
Such a small but nice touch are the snap buttons along the perimeter! You can easily snap it around your neck or body to wear it more like a cape, not having to worry about it falling off if you get up or move around. The heat is strong and I cannot wait to button myself into a heated burrito this winter. Super happy with this as an affordable heated blanket option!
I like the color, look, and feel of this blanket. There's no real setup, just plug in the blanket and choose your desire temp. It doesn't take long to heat up and it feels soft on your body. I truly feel like I'm ready for whatever Texas einter weather brings in.
Overall, this is a good buy.
This throw heats up quickly and gets very warm (even on a low #2 setting). On my bed heater, I usually turn that up to 4, but the equivalent to this throw is a level 2.
Comfort-wise, one side of this blanket is a plush sherpa feel (just not dense) and the other side is what feels like a velour.
Function wise, this throw comes with a timer option so you can have it turn off after an hour or two (or more).
My favorite thing about this blanket is the plastic snaps. The snaps allow you to wear this heated throw like a poncho, which is great for those freezing cold nights when you want your entire body to heat up.

Anyway, as warm and comfy as Paul is, he’s not always fun to live with. His controller doesn’t have a lot in the way of settings, the wire is really stiff, and the two cords that go to the wall and blanket come out of the same place on the controller, so it’s just awkward and unwieldy and not great… but Paul was pretty cheap, to be fair.
This blanket solves a lot of the issues I had with Paul. It has more settings and a rounder, more flexible cord running from the blanket to the controller, with the outlet end of the wire coming out of the top of the controller so it’s much more streamlined and not sticking out and banging into stuff all the time. It heats up quickly and evenly and is a joy to snuggle under.
It’s very soft and I love the beautiful pink, which is something I don’t often say. In the spirit of naming things, I guess I’ll call her Petunia. :D
